It was a sunny day. The clouds were like marshmallows. I was in the school canteen. The canteen was packed like sardines. In the corner of my eyes, I saw Jim. Jim was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Jim’s teeth sparkled like diamonds. He even has a personal chauffer and he always looked dapper. None of us dared to speak to Jim, because we felt like peasants. Little did I know that I am going to be friends with Jim by the end of the day.
As I did not eat in the morning, I was hungry as a wolf. As I wanted to buy my food. However, I found out that I did not bring my wallet. My face turned as pale as a sheet. I looked at everyone eating their food happily. My stomach rumbled noisily.
What happened next was unexpected. Someone patted on my shoulder. It was Jim. He bought me a plate of food. My eyes sparkled with delight as I thanked him profusely. I was touched by his kindness.
From that day on, Jim and I became friends. His kindness was etched in the deep recesses of my mind.
